Central Idea Reflection

For our Central Idea I liked "Friendly human relationships can destroy hate and make the world safe" because it tells people that having good relationships can kill hate and make the world safer. I think we should have this as the Central Idea because lead to human relaionships and it had the key words that summed up all of our exhibition problems. I also like "To be human means to not hate, but appreciate things that are here while you can" because to me this means to appreciate things while you can before it's too late. This was good to me because you should be thankful for things that are here right now. I think we could combine them to make "Appreciating human relationships can make people stop hating on others and make the world safe."

Poverty Research

For Exhibition I'm doing poverty . In my research I found out that the things that people in poverty die from is hunger, AIDS, pneumonia, diarrhea, tuberculosis, malaria, and the measles. Hunger causes 25,000 people each day to die. AIDS kills over 2 million people a year. Pneumonia kills more than 2 million kids a year. Diarrhea kills about 1.6 million people a year Tuberculosis kills more people than any other disease. Malaria kills more than 1 million people a year. The measles kills less than 1 million a year. Also I learned that almost half the world has to live with less than 2.50. This all means that people who are poor have to fight and go through a very bad situations like sickness, diseases, and hunger. Then I learned that “ food for work” programs are paying adults with the food to build schools, dig wells, make roads. The food for education is a program that gives food to kids that go to school.

Exhibition Idea

For an idea for exhibition I picked people who are in poverty because people don't have the same resources and are not given the same privileges. A change needs to happen so people don't die in harsh conditions. I think the government is at fault because they bankrupt people who can't afford higher bills and debt. A way we can make change is by giving clothes and food to people in need. I picked poverty because I feel that people are not getting the same resources they deserve. I know that the poor has free insurance, but the middle earners are having to pay the same number of insurance as rich people. And to the rich it's like a little dollars, but to middle earners ,that could go to college money, vacation money, and mortgage. If we could make a change to that we can make a better future for children because when we get older prices for things are going to get higher and there can be more people on the streets.

Passion

My passion for exhibition is diabetes. I would like to work on this because I feel that everyone should have a say in how they want to spend their life. Diabetes can cause high blood pressure and loss of motor skills. I think that diabetes should be stopped because it ruins people's lives.

Who I Look Up To

I look up to my dad because he’s been able to take care of my family and love my mom at the same time. My dad has inspired me to be my self and believe I can do anything. My dad has helped my family when we were sad and weak. My dad hasn't had any doubts about if my family was going to make it, or not. My dad always had a positive attitude and always helped me follow my dreams while he was following his. All my dad’s life he wanted to own his own business and he’s been trying to do the best to do get that job. My dad has taught me how to respect my body so I can live for along time. When I was confused about things my dad told me how to get it and how to get it right. My dad is different from other dads because he separates business from family and has time for both. To me my dad is my hero because he loves my family and never will stop.

Connection Reflection

In Brooke’s personal narrative I found out that we are both independent. This surprised me because I thought I was the only one who could be able to make my own desions without anyone making them for me. I also learned that Anthony and I both learned something at camp. I learned that I’m brave, knowledgeable, and a risk taker. I brave because I was able to do things that I was afraid of. I am knowledgeable because when we had questions in a packet I was able to complete them and I got the right answer. I was a risk taker because I was able to do the things I thought was impossible for me to do. In Kevin’s personal narrative I found out that we both face many challenges but overcome them to be unstoppable. To me being able to overcome situations is like an obstacle course, the obstacles are the problems we are suppose to go around. I learned that both Robbie and I are shy. Being shy helps me to be able to know my surroundings and helps be able to find and know more about the world. So finding out I'm not the only one who is shy helps me know that I’m not the only one can’t work well with others and I’m not the only one in my situation. I learned in Mustafa’s personal narrative that he feels responsible for his family and it makes me know that I’m not the only one who has big responsibilities. This affects me because I have a person that also has things to take care of in their life. I learned that Michael and I think that every one should strive to accomplsh their goals. This tells people to not give up on your dreams because you can make it happen if you put your mind to it.

When I grow up by cameron drew

When I grow up I want to be an actor because I want to make a big change in my life that can lead to bigger choices and responsibilities. To me acting isn’t a job, its life, you can make it up as you go along, or you can make it so it connects to real things in life. In acting it’s not about being on television it about how you feel about acting and how good you play your role. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be an actor, seeing other people on TV made me feel like that was something I wanted to do. When I think about acting I think peace, comfort, and happiness. Acting is something that makes me be me. To me without acting I wouldn’t have any of the feelings I have with it. I chose what I to do, reflected on it, and I chose to act.

Personal Narrative

To be me is to be independent and be able to do things on my own. It is also to believe that you are a child of God, powerful beyond measure, brilliant, and talented. My middle name is Jonathan-Xavier. Jonathan means gift from God. Xavier means brilliant.

I have pride in and I feel most comfortable with my family. They make me believe that I can do anything I want to do as long as believe I can do it.

I respect people’s cultures by learning about them, then teaching others about me.

I take care of myself by being reflective about what I am doing, and choose to act on it to do better. To help my spiritual health, I praise God to make me learn how to make the right choices to get to heaven.

The original bill of rights did not include all races of people. If I could write the bill of rights, I would include how everyone in America should have equal rights and justice.
My philosophy about life is that there is a God and we are supposed to do good things in his name. I think that human beings should strive for their goals so that they can change the world. Human beings should live the life that God wants them.
