Christmas play

I did my first play for the first time in middle school! It's called Charlie Brown's Christmas! And also for this I was the main character Charlie Brown! There is a red cast, a blue cast, and purple cast. And luckily for me I got the best cast which is the red cast! And this is also good for me because I'm in magnet theater and those kids are super talented. One has been famous and has been on TV, the rodeo, and sung ever since she was a kid. I can't tell who she is because she is my friend and she wants to keep that private. There is going to be five plays and we've done four already. I've been in all of them because a person got sick for one (sad, but not really). Did I also mention that for the blue cast I'm The second narrator! I will try to get a video, but the show is fifteen minutes long. This is the best thing that's happened this year!

My Birthday

This year my birthday was the best.My god parents and parents both stayed in a beach house for 2 days in Galveston. We went to the beach with black water, twice. Also The first time we went to the beach my brother got stung by jelly fish on his arm. Then the second day we went to the beach we went far out in the water and my dad and my brother got stung. I was with them too, but I didn't get stung(thankfully). My brother got stung on his stomach while my dad got stung on his back. At the beach house I had a party with my grandfather, two uncles, two aunts, two cousins, and the rest of my family. For my birthday I got shoes, glasses that I lost, a PSP,and most importantly a day with my family.

Summer Camp

This summer I'm going to a summer camp at my church. It's really fun. We go on field trips every Friday. All the classes I've had was Reading,Math,Spanish,Art,Drama,Dance, and P.E.In Drama I got a standing ovation for a monologue I did. This is what I said:

How can you say you and dad are getting a divorce?

Why didn’t you even let me say good bye.

Then I’ll just run away.

Anywhere, but here.

Did you ever think about how this would make me feel.

No I’m sorry for you because not only have you lost dad ,but you lost your son too.

Hollywood Stars

Being the king of Drama is being able to to shine with out being ask or with help. Being the Drama king means to be a star. Knowing to do what is right is not only Independent but it is being a character that you know is right and that way you can be a character in your own Hollywood Stars.I'm trying to do my hardest to be a person in those Hollywood stars. They were people who made a difference in their and others live. Some get in to there just getting discovered be come singer. Others just find something inside them that is a specialty in their live speaking, acting, being athletic, and so much more. But there is something in common between all of these people they choose to use these gifts that god gave them and put the to use instead of just doing something that you' re not even good at it. I'm not saying a back up plan wouldn't be good but you shouldn't be spending your priorities one that one thing. Being in middle school is just to show you what things you need to be an adult. Having responsibility, freedom, and making all the parts of being an adult. And if can keep this thought for your hold life. If you can do this for your hold and also your gifts you can be a person who made a difference, you'll be a person in the Hollywood Stars.

New Beginnings

My summer has been fun even with the thought of not seeing most of my friends. On the bright side this is a new beginning for me because now I will be able to make new friends and meet new people. I won't forget about my old friends and I will miss them all for the summer and school year.I learned things about my self that I never knew I could. One is that I learned how to open my shell to new things and was able to make amazing friends with their own personalities.I was able to feel confident on what I'm doing and sometimes was able to pull it off in a success. The other times when I didn't I learned how to make it better and this is what I can do in life. When problems try to knock me down and crush me, I get back up and show the problem I can't be hurt. I first thought summer was a time to take a break off from school, but now I realized summer is a time to show how much you know without the text books. If you think about summer is a test to see how you will spend it. If you will spend it playing video games, or taking time off to think about things that really matter.Summer can be something where you hold all the sadness of not seeing your friends or it can be a time where you open your eyes to the future. When I started fifth grade I wanted people to remember me for somebody who is a mystery and can't be solved, but now I want to be the guy who was a great person to be around and will be remembered. When I was just starting to come to Mark Twain I just wanted to fit in, but now I want to make a new beginning where I can stand out of the crowd and that is what I'm going to bring to middle school.

Action Night

I think Action Night went well, but it had a little problems. In my group (role playing) some people got bored because it took too long, we forgot lines in the first rotation, people didn't understand some of it, we couldn't be heard without the microphone, and we had some interruptions. What I liked about Action Night is that we learned from our mistakes and got better. I also liked how my group was planned. It had everything about bullying in the right order and I think allot of people learned from it.

Action Reflection

When you make an action you make a change for someone who was waiting for it. Action is a thing a person does that helps another There are two different kinds of action a big one and small ones. Big kinds of action takes a shorter time than small kinds of action because small actions get bigger with smaller actions adding to it, but one big action doesn't need anything to add. A Form of action is when America saw that Haiti that was in trouble and we sent and money to them when they were in need. Another form of action was when slavery was in America and people who were against it fought in the Civil War and Won so everyone could have freedom. By making an action we express ourselves by saying we care and we are helpful to others.

Hate Reflection

Hate to me is when someone dislikes another. Hate is something that people should not be proud of. Hate is a choice that people make that get them killed, put into jail, and even turn to addictions. A form of hate was when discrimination was in America and white people hated blacks and this split America with people who disliked discrimination and people who didn't. When this was in America we didn't get anything done. Discrimination was caused when slavery was ended and hate stirred up in people who supported it. This hate and other kinds of hate can be stopped with an education because an eduacation teaches others not to be racist.

Central Idea Reflection

For our Central Idea I liked "Friendly human relationships can destroy hate and make the world safe" because it tells people that having good relationships can kill hate and make the world safer. I think we should have this as the Central Idea because lead to human relaionships and it had the key words that summed up all of our exhibition problems. I also like "To be human means to not hate, but appreciate things that are here while you can" because to me this means to appreciate things while you can before it's too late. This was good to me because you should be thankful for things that are here right now. I think we could combine them to make "Appreciating human relationships can make people stop hating on others and make the world safe."

Poverty Research

For Exhibition I'm doing poverty . In my research I found out that the things that people in poverty die from is hunger, AIDS, pneumonia, diarrhea, tuberculosis, malaria, and the measles. Hunger causes 25,000 people each day to die. AIDS kills over 2 million people a year. Pneumonia kills more than 2 million kids a year. Diarrhea kills about 1.6 million people a year Tuberculosis kills more people than any other disease. Malaria kills more than 1 million people a year. The measles kills less than 1 million a year. Also I learned that almost half the world has to live with less than 2.50. This all means that people who are poor have to fight and go through a very bad situations like sickness, diseases, and hunger. Then I learned that “ food for work” programs are paying adults with the food to build schools, dig wells, make roads. The food for education is a program that gives food to kids that go to school.

Exhibition Idea

For an idea for exhibition I picked people who are in poverty because people don't have the same resources and are not given the same privileges. A change needs to happen so people don't die in harsh conditions. I think the government is at fault because they bankrupt people who can't afford higher bills and debt. A way we can make change is by giving clothes and food to people in need. I picked poverty because I feel that people are not getting the same resources they deserve. I know that the poor has free insurance, but the middle earners are having to pay the same number of insurance as rich people. And to the rich it's like a little dollars, but to middle earners ,that could go to college money, vacation money, and mortgage. If we could make a change to that we can make a better future for children because when we get older prices for things are going to get higher and there can be more people on the streets.

Passion

My passion for exhibition is diabetes. I would like to work on this because I feel that everyone should have a say in how they want to spend their life. Diabetes can cause high blood pressure and loss of motor skills. I think that diabetes should be stopped because it ruins people's lives.

Who I Look Up To

I look up to my dad because he’s been able to take care of my family and love my mom at the same time. My dad has inspired me to be my self and believe I can do anything. My dad has helped my family when we were sad and weak. My dad hasn't had any doubts about if my family was going to make it, or not. My dad always had a positive attitude and always helped me follow my dreams while he was following his. All my dad’s life he wanted to own his own business and he’s been trying to do the best to do get that job. My dad has taught me how to respect my body so I can live for along time. When I was confused about things my dad told me how to get it and how to get it right. My dad is different from other dads because he separates business from family and has time for both. To me my dad is my hero because he loves my family and never will stop.

Connection Reflection

In Brooke’s personal narrative I found out that we are both independent. This surprised me because I thought I was the only one who could be able to make my own desions without anyone making them for me. I also learned that Anthony and I both learned something at camp. I learned that I’m brave, knowledgeable, and a risk taker. I brave because I was able to do things that I was afraid of. I am knowledgeable because when we had questions in a packet I was able to complete them and I got the right answer. I was a risk taker because I was able to do the things I thought was impossible for me to do. In Kevin’s personal narrative I found out that we both face many challenges but overcome them to be unstoppable. To me being able to overcome situations is like an obstacle course, the obstacles are the problems we are suppose to go around. I learned that both Robbie and I are shy. Being shy helps me to be able to know my surroundings and helps be able to find and know more about the world. So finding out I'm not the only one who is shy helps me know that I’m not the only one can’t work well with others and I’m not the only one in my situation. I learned in Mustafa’s personal narrative that he feels responsible for his family and it makes me know that I’m not the only one who has big responsibilities. This affects me because I have a person that also has things to take care of in their life. I learned that Michael and I think that every one should strive to accomplsh their goals. This tells people to not give up on your dreams because you can make it happen if you put your mind to it.

When I grow up by cameron drew

When I grow up I want to be an actor because I want to make a big change in my life that can lead to bigger choices and responsibilities. To me acting isn’t a job, its life, you can make it up as you go along, or you can make it so it connects to real things in life. In acting it’s not about being on television it about how you feel about acting and how good you play your role. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be an actor, seeing other people on TV made me feel like that was something I wanted to do. When I think about acting I think peace, comfort, and happiness. Acting is something that makes me be me. To me without acting I wouldn’t have any of the feelings I have with it. I chose what I to do, reflected on it, and I chose to act.

Personal Narrative

To be me is to be independent and be able to do things on my own. It is also to believe that you are a child of God, powerful beyond measure, brilliant, and talented. My middle name is Jonathan-Xavier. Jonathan means gift from God. Xavier means brilliant.

I have pride in and I feel most comfortable with my family. They make me believe that I can do anything I want to do as long as believe I can do it.

I respect people’s cultures by learning about them, then teaching others about me.

I take care of myself by being reflective about what I am doing, and choose to act on it to do better. To help my spiritual health, I praise God to make me learn how to make the right choices to get to heaven.

The original bill of rights did not include all races of people. If I could write the bill of rights, I would include how everyone in America should have equal rights and justice.
My philosophy about life is that there is a God and we are supposed to do good things in his name. I think that human beings should strive for their goals so that they can change the world. Human beings should live the life that God wants them.
